Chain-free Backups

Chain-based backups force you to start the entire chain over every one or two years because potential failure points compound over time. Chain-free backup has no time constraints on how long you can back up data without needing to start over. x360Recover captures snapshots of a server every few minutes and replicates those images to the Axcient Cloud. Those snapshots include data, operating system, applications, and configurations. With Axcient chain-free backup, data is stored in a native "virtualisable-state" with a pointer array algorithm. You don’t lose the data even if you do lose some backups due to corruption. Why? Because the corrupt data is isolated without affecting the rest of the backups. Meet 3-year, 5-year, 7-year, or even 10-year retention periods without costly reseeding or consolidation.

Built-In, Always-On Features

AirGap

Anti-ransomware and data loss technology that separates data deletion requests from deletion mechanics to prevent malicious or accidental deletion while ensuring near-instant recovery. The amount of time between processes varies so that patterns cannot be recognised and replicated.

Local Cache

Optional, fully independent recovery acceleration layer that pairs D2C with an inexpensive USB or NAS device to maintain your local datastore of backup block data to decrease recovery and failback times. Having your baskup data in two physically separate places also adds another level of resilience.

Virtual Office

Self-managed disaster recovery (DR) and DR testing with virtualisation of one or more systems in the Axcient Cloud. Spin-up your backup as a fully usable VM in our European date centre without having to temporarily replace all impacted production infrastructure for business availability.
