Those snapshots include data, operating system, applications, and configurations. With Axcient chain-free backup, data is stored in a native "virtualisable-state" with a pointer array algorithm. You don’t lose the data even if you do lose some backups due to corruption. Why? Because the corrupt data is isolated without affecting the rest of the backups. Meet 3-year, 5-year, 7-year, or even 10-year retention periods without costly reseeding or consolidation.
